Identifying Your Strengths and Weaknesses

Identifying Your Strengths and Weaknesses

The word "Strength" is derived from the Old English word "Strengbu," which came from the Proto-Germanic word "Strangitho." This word indicates the positive qualities, abilities that a person has naturally or which are developed with time. These consist of the areas where the person is performing very well and has good expertise in it. The strengths include their talent, skills, and their personality factors. These strengths make the person do their work effectively and make a path to fulfill their goal easily.
When referring to personal development, strengths are the ones that define one's capabilities. These strengths mostly coordinate with the interests of a person, their passion, and the assignments which can be done by them with ease. These need not be attained naturally; with continuous practice and learning, a person can add them as strengths.
The word "Weakness" is derived from the Old English word "Wæcnys," which came from the Proto-Germanic word "Wākaz." This word indicates the areas wherein a person is lacking strength and effectiveness. It consists of the skills where the person is lagging behind. The weakness of a person will influence them in a negative manner. If a person does not have confidence in them, then this can lead to weakness.
For developing personal growth and development, one must understand their weakness and work on it. If a person identifies weakness in them, they should improve it, which creates a positive impact. The addressing of weakness doesn't completely define that they must look into negative things only; this addressing includes betterments of the person.
For identifying strengths in them, one must think about their achievements, which define by doing what they received it. One must think about the activities which make them happy. One must work on the tasks which are easy for them to complete.
If a person is facing difficulty in finding their strengths, they can ask their friends or family members with whom we contact frequently. They can give us a right opinion on what things we are really good at.
Another method to identify the strengths in us includes analyzing the patterns by which we are getting successful. This analyzing helps us to create a path for being successful in all aspects.
For identifying weakness in them, one must take self-assessment about themselves which gives them clarity where they are lacking behind and it helps them to improve in those aspects.
Taking feedback from the people we trust can help us in developing ourselves as they give us honest opinions. They will recognize in which aspects we are lacking behind and they help us improve in those aspects by giving suggestions.
If we find ourselves being frustrated in any aspect, then the aspect we are dealing with is our weakness. We mostly get frustrated when we are not able to do certain things after doing it plenty of times. So, we need to improve ourselves in the areas we feel being frustrated.
So, for our own betterment, one must identify their strengths and weaknesses and work on it. This helps them to grow their personal development and makes them be in new heights in their lives.
